Our vision Eat, meet, sleep and retreat in a four-sided farmyard

We are realising a lifetime dream with the Quartier35: a square courtyard where we can live and host. When we initially stepped in the inner courtyard of Gaindorf 35 in January 2016, we knew: this has guesthouse potential!

We, Sandra and Martin Sacchetti, quit our respective jobs in international relations and information technology and have been refurbishing this former farm ever since. Our square treasure was erected in the 18th century, and the barn was built in 1846. We wanted to keep the design of the building and placed emphasis on sustainability during the conversion: we heat and cool with geothermal energy, use solar energy, and collect rainwater.

Gaindorf, a small village in the Schmida valley in the northeastern Weinviertel, is home to the Quartier35. The popular excursion area provides nature for relaxation, cycling and hiking paths for sports fans, and the opportunity to enjoy food, culture, and history.

Eat

The inn

We love good food and serve the dishes that we enjoy most: home-cooked meals and traditional dishes. Our cuisine is influenced by our Austrian-Luxemburgish-Italian origins. We cook the dishes of our grandmothers and according to recipes that we brought back from our vacation trips in Europe.

The menu is small but fine, with meals cooked fresh with high-quality, seasonal items from the region. Of course, vegetarian and vegan choices are available. We also serve hand-picked international specialties and outstanding wines from the Weinviertel.

Meet

The event location

Our farmhouse offers an exceptional setting for your event. Use our courtyard for a summer party, the barn for a large birthday celebration, or the inn for a corporate Christmas party. As art enthusiasts, we enjoy collaborating with artists from a wide range of disciplines, and provide a venue for vernissages, readings, theatrical events, and concerts.

We provide a complete package that includes culinary services and overnight accommodations for 20 guests. If you need to accommodate extra visitors, we will gladly assist you in finding a nearby accommodation.

Sleep

The rooms

Our guest rooms are small but cozy, and they all have individual bathrooms. In the warm Weinviertel summer nights, the underfloor cooling will keep you cool.

The kitchen in the Quartier35 apartment is equipped with a dishwasher, oven and large refrigerator, among other things.

Five twin rooms

The Quartier35 has 5 double rooms, which can of course also be booked as single rooms. The separate beds can be joined to make a double bed if required.

A barrier-free twin room

A wheelchair-accessible room and bathroom that makes it easier for visitors with physical limitations to move about. The complex's inn, wellness area, event barn, and parking spaces are all barrier-free.

A multi-bed room

The multi-bed room is made up of two twin rooms and can accommodate four people.

A guest apartment

The guest apartment sleeps 4-5 people and contains two bedrooms and a couch bed in the living room. It has a bathroom/toilet and a kitchen.

The breakfast

Our breakfast offers fresh products from local producers.

Retreat

The retreat location

We provide the ideal retreat for your team, whether for retreats, seminars, training, or yoga and meditation weekends. You can book the entire facility and we will cater to your needs. Evenings can be spent participating in culinary team building activities, sampling local wines, playing billiard, or simply relaxing in the sauna. Up to 20 people can stay with us; if necessary, we will be happy to help you find other accommodation options nearby.
